Opie Ortiz of Long Beach Dub Allstars Discusses Being Arrested in Japan for Cannabis Possession

On this week’s episode of Puff Digital’s Into The Weeds Podcast, Efrem & Ben set up at Programme Skate & Sound – a shop co-owned by Efrem in Fullerton, California – to interview Opie Ortiz of Long Beach Dub Allstars for the second time.

Fans of Puff Digital’s Into The Weeds Podcast may remember Opie from episode 11, where Opie and his brother, the Doobie Raider, shared stories of how they both got into the weeds. This week, Opie – being ITW’s first return guest – offers a different type of interview.

On episode 43, Opie shares his recent story about being caught, arrested, detained and imprisoned in Japan for cannabis possession and use. If you aren’t aware, Japan’s cannabis laws are extremely strict and the penalty for use or possession of trace amounts of cannabis can result in years of prison time.

A truly fascinating episode.
