Haley420 Represents a New Breed of Cannabis Influencer

What is a Cannabis Influencer?

Cannabis Influencer is the latest trend among influencers. In this new era of the modern, tech-filled world, it seems as if there are more influencers on the internet than fans. Instagram is how they start and spread around with their cool photos and videos of whatever it is that they are representing. We have traveling influencers, fashion influencers, even cannabis fashion influencers, foodie influencers, art, and artsy influencers, designers, and many others that have been long roaming the internet but the light shines upon a new breed of influencers at the moment. Especially among Millennials, to follow or to be a Cannabis Influencer is a pretty big deal.

Influencer marketing has become a key tactic for brand building, in and outside of the industry. The right influencer marketing campaign improves your brand’s awareness, increases your following through targeted reach, and develops strategic partnerships.

That being said, we see many people joining the movement and becoming a cannabis influencer themselves because it sure is fun to smoke, enjoy your favorite herb, chill all day, and on top of that get money. It hardly gets any better than that, in my opinion.

The cannabis influencer has changed. Long gone are dopey, stoner stereotypes like Cheech and Chong. Now, the digital age has brought more of a modern approach to the industry.

I am sure you will all agree with me on this, one of my favorite things to do to pass time is scroll through Instagram. I am constantly inspired to travel, read, shop, and consume cannabis thanks to Instagram’s 800 million monthly users. As the cannabis industry continues to unfold, and with its legalization striving forward around the globe, cannabis influencers are slowly but surely taking over the net. If you have been following this trend since its beginning, it’s been fascinating to see other cannabis brands and cannabis influencers share their stories on Instagram and grow day-by-day. From polished brands with millions of followers and customers in the real world to single stars and ordinary people, it is remarkable how these people are creating world famous names out of practically nothing.

For instance, a cannabis influencer like Haley420 is surely changing the game. The reason why we are saying this is that cannabis influencer and smokers used to be a totally different category of people who didn’t really get exposure if any and were not very open about sharing their passion for marijuana. Now, things have changed tremendously.

Gone are the beards, long hair, and hippie styles of the past. Enter the fit, trim, clean and beautiful cannabis influencers of the 21st century. Haley420 (Haley Soarx) is a prime example of leveraging digital skills to film and distribute content surrounding something you love.

Experts have long predicted that women smoking are the future of cannabis simply because they are truly devoted to what they do, when they really love something, and they are always prepared to go the extra mile and speak their mind. They are able to get a lot of attention from the entire world and pursue what they absolutely believe in. As the cannabis industry continues to evolve and become more mainstream with TV ads and highway billboards it will be interesting to see the faces that pop up alongside these brands as ambassadors. These women are providing education and edutainment on the Instagram, as well as design.

In fact, marketing experts revealed statistics that 30% of consumers would purchase a product recommended by a blogger while only 3% of consumers would consider purchasing from a celebrity. Let that one sink in…

And the most important part is that the quality of someone’s following and the trust they have with their audience is far more important than the size of their followers’ number.

This is also important because as influencers continue to play a major role in advertising and cannabis continues to go mainstream, influencers will play a major role. If you don’t think influencer marketing is big business, you are definitely wrong. In the past, you couldn’t consider this a stable job with a steady income, but now people are literally able to make millions each year simply by being a cannabis influencer and promote what they love.

Haley420’s style of photography stems a lot from her love of cannabis. More artistic shots of her smoking are mixed in with product shots and money shots of cannabis. Videos

Haley420 has built up a cult following of stoners who love to watch her smoke. Early videos on her channel were more of a “weed smoking” challenge where she would sit with a friend and have a sesh. More recent videos have transitioned to a more product and engagement focused style.

Her contagious personality, dank nugs, and solid filming quality keep her audience coming back for more.

Working with a cannabis influencer

What is it that cannabis companies are starting to work with influencers lately more than anything? I’m talking here about companies promoting their cannabis-based products and services through a popular cannabis influencer rather than the standard marketing campaign that would run on the internet. This is because the practice has shown that a cannabis influencer as a real person is able to influence you into buying their product that they are promoting, or a service, even subconsciously. That is, when you see someone you follow and admire using something, you believe that using the same product will benefit you as well.

Influencer marketing also happens to be one of the most effective ways for cannabis businesses to overcome the multiple advertising barriers faced in this space. While influencers exist on every social media platform, Instagram stands out as one of the most valuable outlets. Believe it or not, Instagram actually has the highest engagement rate out of all social media channels. So no wonder all the magic happens there. YouTube as a cannabis influencer promoting platform is next because of its video engagement nature and the fact that people prefer videos over reading articles or seeing photos.

The earnings of the cannabis influencer

As I mentioned before, being an influencer of any kind can bring in the $$$ if you know what you are doing. Namely, if an Instagram influencer is legit – they’ve put time, love, and energy into growing their community. Even if your product or service is the best thing since sliced bread, no one owes you anything. Straight up. So, yes, of course, you should be paying your cannabis influencer for the promoting services they are giving to you.

Some famous IGers will take also free products in exchange for a promoted post, video or a story, but the larger ones usually charge money rather than freebies.

If you are wondering how much you would pay for a sponsored post to a cannabis influencer for your marijuana products or services you can contact the person straight up and ask, but I would also recommend using an analyzing tool of their Insta account that will give you a detailed breakdown of the engagement and popularity of their profile overall. This way you will truly know if that particular cannabis influencer is worth your time and money.
